Visiting from New Zealand & I booked this last minute. We were definitely not disappointed. We sat at a table outside and it was comfortable and cosy. The service was excellent, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food really was excellent. Everyone at the table enjoyed every mouthful. I would absolutely recommend visiting this wee gem.

Had a great friday evening at Underwood Dining. Food was amazing, the calamari was really tasty & the fish and chips so scrummy, you could tell the food was locally sourced, so fresh. The atmosphere was great & staff accommodating xx

We went to Underground Dining a few weeks ago for the first time, and were very impressed. Service was exceptional and food was absolutely amazing. Imaginative, fresh flavoured and totally delicious! And not expensive. Highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely! From the menu choice (a dedicated and substantial vegetarian and vegan menu available) and quality of the food to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent experience and were able to fit in a dessert before leaving for our train home. Definitely the best restaurant we visited on our Northern Ireland holiday

A fantastic first visit for us! Nice venue with plenty of atmosphere. The food was superb and there was a great selection of wines, cocktails and beers. Try the fish skin poppadoms as part of your tapas and I would recommend the steak! Can't wait to return!

Fantastic place to eat if you have allergies or dietary requirements. Staff are knowledgeable and meticulous about Ingredients and cross contamination, meaning that everyone has a safe and enjoyable dining experience. The vegan food was fantastic- it was great to eat somewhere where vegan food wasn’t an afterthought. Everyone was delighted with their meals.

What a hidden gem and how lucky we are to have found it. Without doubt one of the best restaurants in Bangor if not county Down. The food we had was the best we have had in Bangor. Excellent variety on the menu, and a fantastic wine list. The staff were brilliant which topped of the experience. Looking forward to our next visit.

Absolutely smashing lunch. I had a special of French Onion Soup followed by a Portavogie Prawn special starter, both were superb. My dad had the same Portavogie Prawn starter to start, and followed with Cajun Spiced Crispy Squid - both were excellent. The staff were really friendly and chatty, and we also met and talked to the owner/chef Garry, who explained a bit of the background of the restaurant and his 6 and a bit years of ownership. The restaurant is, in our opinion very good value with some items less than you would pay from a larger freezer based restaurant. You can see that Garry and his two chefs have a passion for good food and the variety, quality and presentation back this up. We will certainly be back soon!
